KL v SSWP (PIP)
Personal independence payment (PIP) - mobility - slow pace of walking
Decision in brief
If a claimant walks at a slower pace than normal but is able to cover distances with a 'reasonable time period' (as defined at regulation 4(4)(c) of the Social Security (Personal Independence Payment) Regulations 2013), it is not possible to take that slowness into account when considering whether the walking ability is of an 'acceptable standard' (as referred to in regulation 4(2A)(b))
